Something to work with here.
First let me say I love the ability to challenge people on the leaderboard, even though it is not truly multiplayer it adds a sense of community to the game. the graphics are nice but not great.
There are times in the game where the wait period between READY and DRAW is far to long, I understand wanting to get a good sense of reaction time but I really don't like staring at the word ready for 10 seconds, it takes me out of the game and feels like I am waiting for a slow web page to load which is very frustrating. I think the ready and draw would greatly benefit from an overhaul to make them far more obvious (the red blends in) A nice graphic with a clean stroke on the outside would look alot nicer and be less tiring on the eyes.
The game needs a little more to it in the single-player mode, like a series of ever faster gunmen to battle, perhaps an upgrade or two (a way to do more damage and a way to take less damage).
The game is a good start and could be alot better.
This review is not good, its just plain wrong.
I can se from your games that you are into nice graphics, just dont forget to make a game also. After all, pictures alone is worthless if it's a game you are making.
The progression is already there in the challenge option, if I made a second kind of progression in difficulty, it would/could take away the focus from the competition among players, and that is actually the aim of this game.
About the ready draw wait period, hey! you have just bin unlucky, get over it.
Not alot that will help me but...
This may help someone. There are things we take for granted as a "duh" effect of "how could anyone not know that". Having been in customer service years back I came to realize there are people who do not grasp even the most basic concepts of computer use. For these people and really new people to flash this could be helpful. Keep up the work, improve your presentation, and since you started at such a basic level make sure your future tutorials follow a logical progression.
I love the concept
I think this game was unique and well worth my time playing. I loved the upgrades, would have been neat if the music itself were upgradable, perhaps a really bad midi style tune at first etc. I thought the ship design was really well done, I like how I could choose what pieces I wanted and where I wanted them. Perhaps for a sequel you need to upgrade the original to #2.
I Like it alot
It is fun, engaging, and well crafted. The one drawback I find is that the newest ammunition is always the best to use, even though I have bombs I would like to have seen points where you really need to make strategic descisions on what type of ammunition to use. in the late levels needing to use all your ammunition types to complete the levels would have been much more fun in my opinion.
Not a bad start
Potential here, there is something off about links animation he take 5 steps or so forward then takes a step back when running it is quite annoying. The music is really out of place here. I noticed in the second water section you are not slowed down like in the first one. Refine the level graphics, fix links animation and replace that darn music and it could be pretty good.
Really good but a few balance issues
I really like the game, I love TD games, the graphics are simple but fun and get the job done quite nicely.
Balance wise there are a few things, The monkey storm is very powerful and I think undercosted, as the later levels come you can make about that much every level it seems but really only need to use it every 4 or 5 levels thus its always in the wings and it actually saved me money by letting me use it as an escape for tough levels and wait to build powerful towers 5 max upgraded super monkeys a few off towers and the max upgraded beacon. It got to the point that the balloons other than zeppelins cant even get onto the screen.
The zeppelins are another mater, they seem a little too strong in the way of their hp at least they can get about half way through the maze being pelted by 5 ultra super towers and not be burst yet, I think if it were not for the monkey storm they would be about impossible to take down more than 2 in a level. I think a few less HP but perhaps release an extra balloon might be a better balance on them.
But really though it is a well executed game kudos.
I liked it
Graphics were really cool, music was not too annoying, overall it was a fun time killer. Though I did find something odd on lvl 28, you need 30 and i connect em all but only have 29
I liked the upgrades alot, getting the faster reload and wider scope made things easier but look like they hurt your final score so good balance. Only problem I ran into was on airliner where for some reason alot of times you would shoot the bodyguard in the head like 3 times and it would not register. All the missions were good except the last speech one, that didn't require any thought just pop the guy in the head.
Not bad at all
Good job on cloning the original (except for the no next piece view). I thought it was really good job of keeping to the original. I would have liked to see something new added, then of course if I could think of a great new thing to add to tetris wed have a new bestseller.
Best online game I have played in awhile
Nothing flashy, no killer music, but still a great interactive multiplayer game that is alot of fun. I spent about 2 hours playing this game today and I am sure will play it alot more. Simple concept but done so well its near perfect. Would just like to see a few tools for those that do not draw well like a circle or box oprion
